Architectural Designs: Memorials and Museum Projects
This booklet includes both the preliminary (2018) and executional (2019) designs for the Sumpul River Massacre Memorial Park at Las Aradas. This project was supported in part by a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Partnership Development Grant, Asociación Sumpul, Western University, KU Leuven, the Univerity of El Salvador School of the Arts, and AgwA architects. The construction of the memorial was supported by generous donations and contributions from LiUNA Ontario Provincial District Council, LiUNA Local 183, the United Nations Development Program, the Loretto Sisters of Toronto, and the Arthur Fallon Memorial Fund.
This April 2022 booklet includes the initial scenography (in sketches, drawings, and photos) of the sites of our new massacre memorial design projects at El Higueral, Gualsinga, La Laguna de San Ramón (La Laguna Seca), La Guinda de Mayo; the new museum design projects at Arcatao and Las Vueltas; and a reflection on the construction of the Sumpul River Massacre Memorial at Las Aradas.

This January 2024 booklet includes new preliminary designs for the Casa de la Memoria museum in San José Las Flores, the expansion of the Museo de la Palabra y la Imagen in San Salvador, the expansion of the CEB Martyrs memorial in Segundo Montes, Morazán, the Guinda de Mayo Massacres memorial, the planned exhibition at KADOC (Belgium) and the Spanish Cultural Centre (San Salvador). It also includes updated designs for the massacre memorials at El Higueral and La Laguna de San Ramón (La Laguna Seca), and the museums at Arcatao and Las Vueltas.
